Dear Jon,
It has been nearly two months since The Jon Lewis Orchestra played at my daughter Mackenzie's wedding reception at the Down Town Club in Philadelphia. So many of our friends and family members have raved about the band and about how much fun they had dancing that evening. We were such a diverse group, and your band was able to play something for everyone.
When Mackenzie and her new husband Stefano remember the reception, they talk about the wonderful music, from the cocktail hour jazz to the Tarantella to the great dance tunes. Apparently a couple of our friends took some videos of the affair, and as we view them it is obvious from the empty chairs that just about everyone was up dancing, even Mackenzie's 82-year-old grandmother.
Please thank all the band members for us. I meant to thank them the night of the party, but, of course, so much was going on and I forgot. And thank you, Jon, for making it easy for me. Because I was the designated wedding planner, I was grateful for your professionalism and all your hard work. You made it easy for me.

Every member of your orchestra was spectacular and memorable, and your performance of the Eric Clapton song that Lauren and Kevin danced to was superb. I had many, many people either ask me about the orchestra and how I found them or comment on how wonderful your group's performance was. Tracy Dougherty, the bride whose wedding you performed at a number of years ago, even came up to me and said, "I forgot how great they were. This band is awesome!" We just want to send a note to you to thank you for your band's work at our wedding. We have had so many compliments about the quality of the music that night. You and your band were extraordinary. Two weddings in Philadelphia, a 21st Birthday party in Greenwich, and an upcoming wedding in the Adirondacks say it all. Your band is not only great; the music bridges the generations- from the two-step and swing for the parents and older folk to rock-and-roll for the younger. Your band helped make the weddings of my daughters and the birthday of my niece occasions to remember. I have no doubt that when you play the Adirondacks next fall, my niece and her husband-to-be will trip the light fantastic in ways they never have before. And if and when my remaining daughter gets married, you and the band will get the call once again.
